URA Risk Management

Risk management systems use URA balance sheet ratings

With the latest capital market and corporate crises, many SMEs are investing increasingly in developing professional risk management systems. This is of utmost importance for the sustainable development of a company and one of the central requirements imposed upon management by shareholders, partners, investors, creditors, customers, suppliers and employees.

German SMEs still have a long way to go in implementing risk management systems. 81% of companies surveyed are planning investment in order to control risk more professionally.

URA Support

Since February 2012, customers have been able to use the URA Module for Microsoft Dynamics AX for active management of financial risk. The module AXrating is completely integrated into the familiar Microsoft Office interface.

Since June 2012, the URA B2B Rating App has been available on the salesforce.com AppExchange. Salesforce from Forces 2011 has been hailed the most innovative software of the year, is a pioneer among cloud services and also offers a highly powerful CRM.

Thanks to the strategic partnership with Soft Project, it is now possible to take SAP data to generate ratings in Rating Factory. This allows a more process-optimised risk management workflow.

The module/app URA B2B Rating offers a web-based risk management service that allows individual access to qualified balance sheet ratings and B2B ratings from the cloud. Every business contact entry has fields that are automatically populated with ratings figures. The order is completed with a click of the mouse. The URA B2B rating–a qualified balance sheet rating–is delivered within 48 hours for Germany and within 3-4 days for the rest of Europe. The rating´s validity is monitored over 12 months. The monitoring system delivers warnings and the latest ratings on the basis of new company results.

The URA balance sheet rating has been used around Europe since 2009. BMW Financial Services have been using it since October 2011 to make daily credit decisions for risk volumes above 250,000 Euros.

Supply Chain

Supplier rating, alongside credit risk management of debitors and loans, is a significant factor for companies implementing risk management: disruptions to the supply of production materials and other supplier issues can have dramatic consequences. The failure of a logistics or IT company can be life threatening for a company. For strategic business partners, the automatically-drawn information is no longer enough. The URA balance sheet rating is thus an integral part of a qualified supplier evaluation process that is tailored to the needs of the company.
